Bear Balm The all natural, all purpose balm, created to make your skin bearable

About Bear Balm

Tins of balm with oil, beeswax and herbs

Did you know that in 2023, the global skincare market generated an astonishing $181.2 billion in revenue? Did you know that the average American utilizes 12 different personal and skincare products daily, containing over 100 synthetic chemicals? Did you know that our bodies absorb between 20-60% of whatever we apply to our skin?

What if there was a single all-natural product that could replace a dozen others, addressing your most common skin issues? Imagine a product that simplifies your life, is eco-friendly, and saves you money. Who wouldn't want that? Now there is: Bear Balm. The all-natural, all-season, all-purpose balm for your skin and lips.

We create Bear Balm to make your skin bearable.

You probably use many different products for various skin concerns: one for dryness, another for itching, and others for scratches, cuts, or rashes. You may even have separate remedies for sunburns, bug bites, chafing, diaper rash, eczema, incisions, or scars, not to mention specialized products for tattoos and beards. Imagine the growing pile of products cluttering your space, each one costing you money and contributing to waste, especially single-use plastics. Think about the precious space they occupy in your cabinets, drawers, and bags, along with that frustrating last bit you can never quite get out of the container. And let's not forget the crazy amount of synthetic chemicals involved.

Check the ingredient labels: most commercial skincare items contain at least one petroleum-based ingredient, such as mineral oil or paraffin, derived from the waste of oil rigs.

So, what does Bear Balm contain? Only organic herbs (calendula and lavender) infused in olive oil and blended with beeswax. That's it!

We package it in stainless steel tins that are infinitely reusable and recyclable. You can take them with you, and best of all, you can extract every last bit of balm with no waste.

How do we create it?

Kimberly, who makes Bear Balm

I made the initial batch by blending oil and herbs in a jar, allowing it to bask in the sun for several weeks to fully infuse the oil with herbal goodness. Once it was ready, I strained the oil, mixed in some beeswax, and transformed it into a few small jars of balm.

This method worked perfectly for our little family, and the balm worked wonders. I began sharing it with friends and family, eventually selling it at Farmers' Markets alongside the produce we were growing. Since then, both our family and our business have grown!

We worked on various systems to refine and streamline the production process, enabling us to manufacture large quantities of tins at once. We've designed a custom system to infuse the oil and organic herbs at the ideal temperature over several days. The infused oil is then strained and moved to the next phase, where it is combined with pure beeswax and poured into each tin.

Finally, it's time to label each tin and package them for distribution to our wonderful retail partners or ship directly to you! We've developed a wonderfully loyal customer base. Try Bear Balm, and I think you'll love it, too.
